Make games, animations, and get creative! Scratch is a block-based programming language developed by MIT, and it is the perfect place to start for new or early coders. Master the fundamentals on an easy to learn platform: variables, conditionals, sequence, logic, and more! If you can imagine it, you can code it!

Online Class Requirements

This is an ONLINE class! Learn to code from the comfort of your own home!

All online classes require the Discord app. Discord allows students and teachers to communicate clearly via audio, video, screen sharing, and text.

After downloading the Discord app on your computer you’ll need an invite link to our server. We will provide that invite link immediately after registration. It sometimes ends up in the spam folder.

All online classes require a microphone and headphones unless the student is in a room by themselves.

Students will be able to see what the teacher is working on, receive step by step guidance from the instructor, and be able to share their screen with the instructor and classmates to work on their projects.

As a special addition, this course will also introduce students to the world of artificial intelligence (AI) by incorporating AI lessons into the curriculum. Through these lessons, students will gain a deeper understanding of how AI can be integrated into various aspects of programming, preparing them for the future of technology.
