In this course, we teach the foundations of coding using Code.org, Robot Turtles, and get introduced how to type on an actual keyboard with Typing.com

Code.org offers a variety of resources to help kids learn to code, including interactive online courses, lesson plans, and tutorials. Through a series of engaging lessons students learn fundamentals of coding like sequential logic, loops, boolean logic, and logical problem-solving.

In addition to introducing students to a keyboard, we also use Robot Turtles. In this board game, Players use a set of coding cards to create a sequence of instructions for their turtle to follow on the game board. The goal is to navigate the turtle to a "gem" on the game board using the instructions provided. This game teaches children problem-solving and critical thinking skills, as well as the fundamentals of computer programming.
